Health Promotion:

The Sidney-Shelby County Health Department  has three car seat technicians who provide car seat safety to a parent is available by appointment to have the car seat checked for correct installation.

The Ohio Buckles Buckeyes program, administered by the health department, provides car seat education and a car seat, The recipient must be WIC eligible.

The SSCHD nursing staff provides health promotion activities at health fairs for schools or businesses. Dermascans, Blood pressure, glucose, and cholesterol screening are available at a nominal fee. Please fill out the Health Fair Request Form and mail to:

The Nursing staff has bike helmets available for a nominal fee. The helmet is fitted by our trained staff,  along with education on proper use. See our Bike Helmet Information Sheet
